1998 starts with lots of rewards: “My heart will go on” wins lots of awards (American Music Award, the Golden Globe, and the Oscar, the second for Céline). She receive the mandate of Canada (the 30th of April ) and the mandate of Quebec (the first of May).
She begins working on her new French album, the second with JJ Goldman, and preparing for her future world tour: a hypertechnological scenography of 200 square meters, with the form of a heart, posed in the center of the vast stadiums: the first date will be the 21th of August in Boston.
In September ,“s’il suffisait d’aimer” is released, including “Zora Sourit”, which deals of the restriction of the Algerian women's rights, but also, in general, fof all the women who lives in a country where their rights come limited and pieties; “On ne change pas” ,autobiographical; and the passionate “s’il suffisait d’aimer” , interpreted with the usual hability that Céline has when she sings in French.
