1990 is the year of the ascension of Celine in the road of glory. The album "Unison ", written by David Foster and , featuring ten songs entirely in English, is released. The song “Where does my heart beat now”, wich is Celine's first english single, climbs the US charts and become number 4 at the Billboard Charts. Celine takes part in the Tonight Show, her first TV program in the USA.

After their success in the Show Business, Céline and René begin working in the restaurents filed: They open the first Nickels restaurant on the 5th of december 1990 at Saint Laurent in the Québec, and months after the second at Laval.
In 1999, 48 restaurants are created in the american continent,
The style of the Nickels restaurants is based ofe 50s-60s.

This year, a small serie of four episodes is diffused, called‘Des fleurs sur la neige’, interpreted by our loved Celine. Celine shows in this miniserie that she has talents in acting as well as singing. the them song of this miniserie is sang by celine and called : prenez moi.

Ahe wins 2 Junos, one for the best performer of the year and another for the album "Unison", best album of the year.Céline sings in Ottawa at the "centre national des Arts" in front of Lady Di and prince Charles.

1992 is another year in wich Celine will show that she is a planetery star, the one we all know today; Her second English album is released :Céline Dion., composed of fourteen songs, written by know musicians like Diane Warren, Prince...; she starts to take part in the Canadian, French, and american TV programs entering the international show business.

At the beginning of this year, Céline will perform in front of Bill Clinton at the White House at the time of his ceremony of nomination. In This occasion, Céline will interpret the song there "Love can move mountains". Celine will be is rewarded at the official ADISQ’s GALA, she receives 2 Felix, a first for the quebequer artist being the most illustrated in the Quebec and a second Felix for being the artist most illustrated in another language then French. In the Juno Awards, she receives 4 Juno, the first for the best female interpreter of the year, the second for the album "Dion sings Plamondon" being the best sold French album, third Juno for the song "Beauty and the Beast" elected single of the year and the last Juno for the song "Love can move Mountains" elected best dance song.

In NovemberShe releases the album "The colour of my love" produced by David Foster, 3rd English album. Celine adopts a new look, shorter hair launching out in a “Rocker” look. In a few years Céline Dion will becomes a Diva for the Americans.While the album "The colour of my Love" makes its entry in the United States, in France the song "Ziggy" of the album "Dion sings Plamondon" culminates at the top of the Hit Parades. In France, the album "The colour of my love" will be released in February 1994.

For Celine, the year 1993 will be remembered because of the painful memory of the death of her 16 years old niece Karine. Karine dies in the arms of her aunt Céline who sang a soft song to her "the birds of the happiness"( Les Oiseaux Du Bonheur) of eddy Marnay, so she cool spemd her last moments peacefully. This was on May 2 in the evening. Celine -"I got close to her, she was lying on the side, she took my arm and put under her. Then, I released her hair and a song of Eddy came to my mind :"the birds of happiness". I sang this song to her very gently, and I felt that her body left us progressively. I made sign to the family and I continued to sing, she left us gently. I was so glad to have sung a song to her before she leaves and that she gave me the chance to accompany her, it is the most beautiful gift ". Celine will always keep a major thought for Karine and on each one of its albums a small word of love will be address to her. Karine will remain for Céline a source of motivation and it is through her niece that she will take most of her energy. She becomes the president of honor of the Cystic Fibrosis Association.

the song "The Power of Love" is a big Hit in the United States, Céline triumphs finally. "The power of love" reaches the first place on Billboard, a thing never seen before. One will be able to say from now on that Céline will have made of her entry on the American market a real success. In Canada, 100 000 copies of the album "The colour of my love" are sold and it will be certified disc of diamond and 13 times platine in the world. From June 8 till August 27 Céline makes her tour in the United States. In France ,Celine will perform 3 representations at the Olympia from September 27 , and will release on the occasion a new album "Celine Dion in Olympia". After The Olympia, Céline attacks the Zenith on November 4 to give only one representation in it. November 24, launching of the album "Celine Dion" in France. At the ADISQ’s Gala, Céline receives this year 3 Felix, a first for the being female interpreter of the year, a second Felix for being the most illustrated out of Quebec and the last Felix for the being the quebequer artist the most illustrated in another language that French.
