in favour of a three-year sit-down in Las Vegas?"Definitely,"

actually, it's much better than that. Touring was magnificent
for me because I've had the privilege of seeing so many things
and travelling the world. But at the same time, every time
I went some place, to Paris, to the Riviera, everywhere, I

CELINE DION BIGGER THAN JACKO
Canadian singer Celine Dion is bigger than
Michael Jackson, according to their record company Sony.Company
insiders say that executives of the major label rate the French-Canadian
singer as the premier artist on their books."Everyone's
always really surprised," claimed a source, "but
Celine is regarded as the most important act by the suits
in the company."
Dion also ranks above top selling artist Mariah Carey, who

According to today's Review-Journal, Céline
and the famous French song-writer Charles Aznavour are teaming
up on a CD. The legendary French songwriter and musical performer
is flying into Las Vegas this weekend for a week of musical

"One Heart" (the single) falls
from its debut #27 to #51. The album re-entered
the Top 75 chart last week at #43, but falls sharply to #63
this week.
Here's a chart comment on "One Heart" from the dotmusic.com
website:
"One lady who is never likely to be dropped given her
widespread international appeal is Celine Dion but there is
no escaping the quite surprising way this single has failed
to set the charts on fire. One Heart will therefore be the
second Celine Dion single in succession to miss the Top 20,
following on from the failure of her Christmas single last
year Goodbye's (The Saddest Word) to do any more than limp
to Number 38. One thing that does seem odd is the strange
decision to confine one particular track to the b-side of
this single. Her voice has been much in evidence on the television
of late thanks to her rendition of I Drove All Night being
used for a series of commercials for Chrysler. The song has
been a Top 10 hit in the past for both Cyndi Lauper and Roy
Orbison and on its own would have stood every chance of returning
Celine Dion to Top 20 or ever Top 10 hitmaking. As it is the
track is little more than an added bonus designed to shift
the rather inferior song One Heart and in that role it has
failed miserably. Consider this an opportunity wasted."
Last week's release of One Heart helped the single to enter
the Eurochart at
#56. THe album also saw a huge jump from #79 to #52. On the
airplay side, "One Heart" stays at #30 for a second
week in a row across Europe.

Exclusive Editions Of '1 fille &
4 types'*
When Céline's upcoming French CD '1 fille & 4
types' is released on October 13 in Europe and October 14
in Canada, three different versions will be available to fans.
While the standard edition will be available from all retailers,
a Deluxe edition with special photos and a DVD will be sold
in Europe and exclusively in Archambault stores in Canada.
Finally, the Limited Edition with a special 45 page booklet
will be available in France's Carrefour stores.
Happy Birthday*
Today is Céline's sister Louise's birthday. She is
the sixth child in the Dion family. Louise recalls how much
Céline loved dressing up as a little girl.
Adisq Gala 2003
Céline has received the nomination
for "The Most successful artist from Quebec in a language
different from French" at 2003 ADISQ (The music-awards
in Quebec). The 25th Gala of ADISQ will take place on October
26 at the Saint Denis Theatre and will be broadcasted live
on Radio Canada at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Céline Nominated For AMA*
Céline is nominated twice for the upcoming 31st annual
American Music Awards. Céline is nominated for 'Favorite
Female Artist - Pop-Rock' and for 'Favorite Artist - Adult
Contemporary'. The award ceremony hosted by Jimmy Kimmel will
be held on November 16 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Primetime their was an interview with Céline from her
dressing room at The Colosseum where she performs in A New
Day... she discuused lots of issues:
About the critics: "If they say to me this that
and that, it makes me mad in a way and anrgy that they think
all of those people buying my records and come to see my shows
are stupid and all wrong. Well just interview them. I mean,
I can be wrong like this for the rest of my life and like
it."
When Cynthia M. asked about her weight, and Celine
said that yes, she was healthy and happy with her looks and
can eat whatever she wants, the interviewer said, "Oh
that's not fair!" Then Celine went on to say, "Do
you want me to talk about the asthma, the allergies and reflux
too? Things we never talk about?
 When
the interviewer asked her if she had regrets leaving school
at age 14. She answered yes in a way because she doesn't do
well in writing. She said she writes better in English than
French. French is very difficult to write for her. Then the
interviewer ask what if RC comes to you when he is 14 and
says Mom I don't want to go to school anymore I want to be
a musician. Celine replied I would try to make a deal with
him.

Céline agrees to headline charity Fight Night
next year
Celine Dion is leaving Las Vegas for Phoenix, temporarily.
She will be the headliner of next year's Celebrity Fight Night
X, one of the Valley's most star-studded charity events. No
word yet on what she will perform. The Celebrity Fight Night
Foundation, which has raised $20 million for charity, will
host the event on March 27, 2004 at the J.W. Marriott Desert
Ridge Resort and Spa, with dinner, entertainment and auctions.

Céline's Upcoming Show In French
The show in french to promote the upcoming Céline's
new album in french "1 Fille & 4 Types" will
be taped at Colosseum at Caesars Palace on October 1. There
will be 12 artists. Guest-stars: Ricky Martin, Garou, and
Charles Aznavour who will fly from Paris to sing a song with
Céline for the first time. Céline will performance
five or six sons from "1 Fille & 4 Types". The
show will last one hour and half and it will be premiered
on the franco-canadian TV network TVA on October 19. Instead,
the french TV network TF1 will air a two hour special at the
beginnings of November. The show will be also broadcasted
in the French-speaking part of Switzerland and Belgium. Besides
TVA will tape an interview with Céline.
