Céline Dion and the creators, cast and crew of A NEW DAY… bring to the stage an unprecedented combination of performance, passion and technical innovation. The show is created by DRAGONE and is presented at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. A NEW DAY… presented by Chrysler is produced by Concerts West, an AEG Live company.

“Our goal with this project is to create a unique spectacle of song, theatre, dance and state-of-the-art technology,” said Franco Dragone. “I see Céline as a satellite who captures images. She will use the stage to create her own universe and share it intimately with the audience. A NEW DAY… presented by Chrysler shows Céline’s immense talent in a new art form. We hope to heighten and intensify the senses so that each spectator leaves the show seeing more than they did the day before.”

Céline is thrilled with the opportunity to bring her music to a major theatrical production. “This show marks a turning point in my professional journey,” she said. “It will guide me to self-discovery, to push the limits of performance and offer a new stage experience to my devoted fans.”

A NEW DAY… presented by Chrysler transports the audience to a unique theatrical world; each song evokes a different visual experience. A NEW DAY… presented by Chrysler features the largest indoor LED screen in North America. Dragone uses the screen to evoke the mood within the music and create an environment that transcends the usual physical limitations of theatrical productions. With lighting, projected images, traditional props and remarkably sharp three-dimensional screen graphics, the set for A NEW DAY… presented by Chrysler places Céline, the performers and, indeed, the audience in European town squares, great city centers, picturesque antique temples and starry sky-scapes. An extraordinary illusion of depth is created; the 4,000-seat Colosseum ends up feeling less like a traditional theatre than like an immense public space. A NEW DAY… presented by Chrysler is theatre of life.

Céline is joined by a cast of fifty-eight performers, musicians and vocalists. The artists have not only worked at perfecting stunning choreographies, but have mastered the challenges of physical and aerial training and percussion and vocal sessions through intensive workshops in Belgium and Las Vegas. The elite international cast was selected from among thousands at auditions in Montreal, London, Paris, Amsterdam, New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago and La Louvière, Belgium.

The musicians

- most of whom have been touring with Céline for nearly a decade - include background vocalists, an accordionist, a flutist, cellists, a drummer, a percussionist, a pianist and guitarists. Céline’s longtime bandleader, Claude “Mégo” Lemay, plays keyboards. The music ranges from classic Céline to beautifully-arranged standards to her latest hits. To date, Céline has sold over 155 million albums worldwide, making her the biggest selling female artist of all time.

The Colosseum at Caesars Palace was built by Caesars’ parent company, Park Place Entertainment Corporation (NYSE: PPE), a leading owner and operator of world-class hotel-casino-resorts. A contemporary interpretation of one of antiquity's architectural wonders, the 4,000-seat entertainment and event venue has been specially created for A NEW DAY… presented by Chrysler. The Colosseum features a vast performance space and a feel that is at once roomy and intimate.

Park Place built the $95 million Colosseum as the centerpiece of a new construction program at Caesars Palace that began when Park Place acquired the resort on December 29, 1999. Based in Los Angeles, Concerts West is one of the world's largest producers and promoters of live music events and tours. Run by veteran tour promoters John Meglen and Paul Gongaware, the company's primary focus is indoor arenas and theaters, which allows for an extension of artists' tours and increased revenue by eliminating seasonality. Concerts West has promoted tours for everyone from Neil Diamond to Britney Spears, Eagles, Barry Manilow, Dixie Chicks and Yanni, to name just a few. Concerts West is an AEG Live Company.
